Embodied Connection Logo Design
Focus: Graphic Design/ Logo Design
What is Embodied Connection?
Embodied Connection is a Vancouver-based counselling service founded and operated by Gila Schröder (MC, RCC). Gila is committed to making her services accessible to all, taking the time to understand each client’s story from the very beginning in order to offer authentic, foundation-focused solutions.
How Did the Project Kickstart?
My client, Gila, reached out during the early stages of building her online business. In our first conversations, she emphasized that active listening was at the heart of her services. Having immigrated to Canada from Germany, she brought unique insight—not only into the experience of growing as an immigrant, but also into understanding people from diverse cultural backgrounds. With these qualities in mind, I began exploring visual elements inspired by the ideas of:
Connections
Natural flow
Sound waves
Nature
So, What Does the Final Logo Look Like?
The final logo evolved significantly from the initial concepts I proposed. She was drawn to the idea of combining a graphic element with a rounded typeface for the logo. While active listening is a core part of her practice, she preferred the logo to emphasize a collaborative approach. She wanted to emphasize the concept of working together with clients to understand underlying concerns and find solutions.
The finished design features a compassionate hand connected to both a brain and a heart, symbolizing the thoughtful and empathetic partnership Gila fosters with her clients to create meaningful, long-term solutions.
Along with the combined graphic and typeface logo, I also created a set of playful stickers for Gila’s clients to take home as a meaningful reminder of their sessions.
